Been a while, huh, since you've seen my cheery lil face poking around the LJ files. Well I'm back, in limited capacity, and raring (or is that groaning) to go. Anyway, it only makes sense that I start my new life, uhm, year, with a full and complete Monday Update, even if it ain't, like, Monday.
Tons has happened this last two months, not the least that I'm finally out of hospital, hopefully for a long time. Cyberius III seems to be doing well in spite of my lack of presence to promote it. Though not well enough, alas, to make it to print.
Still, ignoring snow, freezing cold weather and the political machinations of Project Runway, here is the list you've all been craving. The twenty or so most likely reasons to commit suicide... the Almost Monday Update is here
1. Cyberius III - Has been released! Yay! It's also been well received by the three reviews that I've found so far. Sales are mediocre but then I've not been around to scream, rant and rave at everyone to buy it. Even so the sense of achievement and pride is wonderful.
2. Alien abductors wandering around wearing white coats and stethoscopes. This is getting rather scary, seems they've been watching too much Grey's Anatomy.
3. Poseidon VII - First draft out at Beta readers. Needs major work, sucks rocks, is no where near the quality of Cyberius III. Am gonna work hard on it this week to try and avoid the Sophomore Slump.
4. Can't figure out where massive influx of items to be dumped on the bed has come from. Desperately fighting a tide of odds and ends that appear to be attempting a coup of the apartment.
5. Valencius Covers His Tracks - Tickled, but steady.
6. Fighting weird tubes and drains that emanate from my abdomen -- am beginning to look like something created from Frankenstein's laboratory.
7. Laundry piling up outside bedroom door, will seriously need to consider maid service -- don't you just love those little dresses they wear :)
8. Huw's Entappthe Whorled - Has emigrated to a better home.
9. Eating is a pain, literally. Two months on a stomach pump means the stomach forgets how to work and it's a somewhat painful process retraining it.
10. Thanks to tree220 my PC is now arranged on table next to my recliner. Am now able to fall asleep mid-sentenc...
11. Red Balloon/Red Dragon, Blue - Still rumbling.
12. I only have a few words to say about coffee -- Gavalier Mocha, Hmmmmmm
13. Swansong - refabricated, whole new plot line and twelve book outcome designed.
14. Why is it when you come out of hospital your hair looks like a tasmanian devil with mange?
15. Here Be Dragons Sci fi romantica novella, dreaming on.
16. A funny gnarling faced guy with blades in his fingers keeps looking through the window, hmmm, will have to get new blinds.
17. Dante I -- Getting very excited, still.
18. A Fashion Guide for Romantic Heroes hereafter known as The Quirky Eye for the Romantic Guy taking a fashion break while Project Runway straightens up.
19 Huw's the Hero - Kinda given up on getting response from Tor, still was worth a go cos you never know...
That's it folks, as I said it's been a long time since I've been able to grace the interwaves. I'm glad to be back, hope ya'll missed me and the weekly updates and I'll try and be a little more frequent with my posting now.
Cya all on the interwaves.
