In Search of Reality

What is reality? Reality is that state of mind that believes it is what exists and perceives everything else that doesn't. It accepts your reality when you believe that reality. If you don't believe that reality it will accept your state of insanity with the same calm equilibrium of the Pacific Ocean in a class five hurricane. So, step in, let us merge our realities and, maybe, with patience a new reality will begin.

What a two Days

Cleaned house, need it badly, floors can now be seen and did you know we had a kitchen counter top hidden in there. Wow.

Have written almost 2.5k words on Atlantis IV, have set up and organized 19 authors and 54 excerpts and prizes for the Samhain Spring Shower Mayhem about to come around in May. And on top of that managed to do it all on a mere four hours sleep. I have two hours to sleep before i cet up for work tomorrow.

Hmm wow it is try how much more you can acheive without sleep. I'll have to do it more often.

So Boys and gals. I will off to beddy and see ya sometime tomorrow midnight since I'll be at work from 8am to 11pm tomorrow.

Have fun. play nice and don't get caught.

Up Bright and Early

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Loads of housework to do and then hopefully more time to get on with the writing Yay!

Most men fantasize about being in a locked with a dozen female nymphomaniacs who've been cold turkey for a month. I fantasize about having a day off work with no housework and a straight eight hours to write.

Coffeeee!

Here I sit and hold my mug

Drifting in a drowsy fug

Until the wondrous caffeine blows

a hole through sleepy brains and goes

Wheeeee

Coffeee!

Such a pleasant start to a raucous day

Now I'm ready to work and play

Thank God for caffeine that I will

In liquid form it beats the pill

and daily I will thus indulge

and make my tummy bulge, bulge, bulge.

****

That was another five second poem from your most beloved caffeine addicted author come poet.

Good morning. Shift starts at 3pm today so time to hack out some more Atlantis IV and who knows maybe something else too, probably will kick up some on Deja Deux.

Not pushing it too hard since the last four days has been a case of flopping in and out of some heavy pancreatitis. Thank God for percocet and popping pills overload.

Looking forward to getting more books finished. One day people might even think I'm a writer. LOL

The Monthly Report

It's been a long, long time since I've posted here. Health, family, finances and alien abductions have kept me pretty much preoccupied and I've tended to sacrifice blogs and the like with the intention of concentrating on the writing first. Which has been a marginal success. I'm now two more novels completed than I was last time.

To focus on the positive from the last year Dante I, sequel to Poseidon VII is due for e-book release on May 18th, and presumably print some months after that. Plus I'm now almost a third of the way through the next in the series Atlantis IV. At this rate I should have the draft finished before Dante I is released. A very auspicious sign. All I need now is the winning lottery ticket and the world would be perfect.

So without much more ado, let me cut to the chase and reveal these seventeen ways to RAM your Buffer.

1. Dante I -- YEAH! e-book is due for release on the 18th May 2010. Tried to address the issue of boring but hot sex scenes (a reviewer's comment for Poseidon VII). Hopefully this is a little better this time. What I really like about Dante I is it has a fabulous cover for a change.

2. Alien abductor's took me on a very nice picnic -- to Cygni 2b.

3. Nine chapters, nine agents. The PIACT Agent Roll call is slowly growing. This Tongue in Cheek, just for harmless fun series of stories and mock secret agent agency is all part of a make-believe empire for the bored, the poor and the certifiably humorized. If you've ever wanted a spiffy secret agent name, a professionally made secret agent card and want your mission to join the growing throngs of PIACT Agent missions then just drop Ferocious Furball a line in a comment on this post. If you want to read more about it then take a peek here.

4. Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall
But all the king's horses and men were foiled
Cos' Humpty had gotten himself hard-boiled

5. Valencius Covers His Tracks. Have this printed out and rereading what I have. Want to reawaken this dead fellow and have a go at finishing it since I've done so much already. Priority rating 7... It's number seven on my list of WIP's

6. Space Burps. Completed and out to Beta Reader's. Mucho thankos Beta guys. These things would be impossible to do without your help. Space Burps 2 -- Deja Deux -- is already underway.

7. Why did the redneck run over his father twice -- Because papa wanted to be retired.

8. Huw's Entappathe Whorled - Sitting on a back boiler. Priority rating 10. Will be a while till I get back to this fella.

9. Life's mystery #37. Why are we so wary of believing the good, yet blithely accept the bad as truth.

10. Terras IV - Still growing, things are getting rather exciting in this freebie novel. Will the hero and heroine survive until chapter 23? Not if the Separatists have anything to do with it. Check them out on my newsletter The Willing Courier .

11. Clipping Pegasus's Wings - The first and probably last PIACT M.O.M.S. novel. So far I have done fifteen edits and still can't seem to get it right. Something is elusively wrong in this thing and it's bugging me. Agh! This baby is one big P.I.T.A.

12. Red Dragon, Blue - Still on my wip list, priority number 8.

13. Sometimes the companionsip of good friends is the pinnacle of caged despair.

14. Swansong - Reinvigorating. WIP priority 5. Messing with this ten novel epic and trying to hammer vague plots into shape. I know how I want the entire story to run, but would like to have rough one paragraph plots of all ten novels in place before I finish writing the first.

15. Déjà Deux - The follow up to Space Burps-- Movie contract... movie contract...

16. Double D.3 Reports - Planning to start these up again soon. Will keep you all informed.

17. Atlantis IV - This is the fourth in the five book Undercover agent series. Set in a completely underwater world, deep sea domes and 300 atmospheres of pressure. Can one cybernetic implants physician and a sex-toy slave save an entire colony from one man's plans for genocide. Can they keep their hands off each other long enough to get dressed. Why get dressed, isn't it more fun to be naked?
Hmm, needs some work this one. LOL

Well thanks for stopping by guys. One day I hope to be able to get in and chat to you all soon. Until then I'll see you all around the Interwaves :)

Have a good week!

Living in "Interesting" Times

After two weeks of Tree's grandmother rushing in and out of intensive care we finally had the Funeral saturday. Only one person spoiled the event a little, by insisting on claiming their share of grandma's jewlery and other artefacts on the three days leading up to the funeral. They wouldn't even wait until she was buried. Fortunately they left immediately after, sans anything giving my mother-in-law a chance to recuperate before having to go through her things.

It was a sad occasion but everyone who'd been around her knew that at least grandma was no longer hurting. (It must hurt bad when you write a note asking to be taken off the life support ventilator)

Every one has gone home now, and the house is finally tidy.

Somehow we all have to try and get back to our regular routines, which is harder than it looks.

Other things this last three weeks...

The surgeon thinks I might need pancreatic surgery, said we'd need a specialist from another city to do it and admitted it would probably be too expensive for us to afford.

So I carry on as normal there.

Tree's struggling to get back to her writing, all we can do is send her hugs and encourage her on. This has been a particularly hard two weeks for her.

Me, I've been hopping on and off the pc finding myself with little heart to write and normally ending up playing the facebook games, curse their little hides.

I will be announcing the winner for the latest piact agent draw soon. I'm kinda running behind a little again. I will try and set up a regular schedule for things like blogs, newsletters and lists. It's frustrating when I get so many gaps between things.

Still, I'm working on the MOMS novel, amazed at how badly I'd written it and trying desperately to make it presentable. Man I hate my writing, particularly the early drafts, they look so awful they scare me.

On the plus side I'm still en route to finishing three and a half novels this year.

Every cloud has a silver lining... once you've been soaked by the freezing rain...

Looking now I can see it's been a year to the day, almost, since my last LiveJournal post. And what a year it was. Good and Bad. Poseidon VII came out in print, received some very nice reviews, I remarried, moved house roughly 700 miles away. Surprised four doctors by not dying and been told, if things don't change, I have roughly three more years to live.

Like I said it's been one of those whacky years.

Other news from last year -- I now work as a cashier in a local supermarket. The pay isn't great but these days a job is a job, especially round here where the main employers, Ford, are having major oopsies and layoffs. Have actually been writing some, inbetween feeling half dead, And even got the first draft of Dante I completed. Also gone crazy and joined Twitter and Facebook. No idea why, other than folks said I should.

Anyway, you've heard enough from me, now let's get to the best part of this report. The Daily Mutter.

1. Double D.3 Reports - All these delightful reports are now archived on my forum here. Feel free to pop in and take a peek at some of the worlds most shocking romantic exposes. :)

2. Alien abductor space ships sighted over Michigan, Illinois and Indiana. Cleverly disguised as Good Year blimps...

3. Poseidon VII - My very first baby in print. Sales weren't fantastic but it was a fun ride. :)

4. Two thongs don't make a tightie whitie!

5. Valencius Covers His Tracks. So close, gotta get this little fella finished before he loses his bite.

6. Space Burps Burbling along.

7. Roarhide - The sound of a timid lion.

8. Huw's Entappathe Whorled - Getting dizzy.

9. Life's mystery #107. If your cereal snaps and crackles when no one is around, does it still pop?

10. Terras IV -- Part five of this enchanting story is now available through Issue 6 of The Willing Courier.

11. PIACT M.O.M.S. - Something new I'm trying, undercover moms and grandmoms saving their world, and a few chocolate brownies.

12. Red Balloon/Red Dragon, Blue - Rip roaringly, uhm, static.

13. Need something hot and spicy to take to bed, how about some Chia?

14. Swansong - swanning along.

15. Dante I -- Done, done, done. First draft shelved, ready for one more edit then off to Beta. Yay!

16. Decadense - a gathering of ten very dumb people.

Thanks all for popping by, hope y'all enjoyed my little foray into the weird and wonderful and looking forward to seeing you all around the Interwaves :)

Have a good week!
